Thank you for another wonderful comp!
FYI, Karen Black also sings on Cass McComb's "Dreams Come True Girl" (and appears in the pretty cool accompanying video). :-)
Thanks for the correction, Holly. Fixed. Song of Solomon had been the only song she had ever recorded when Nate first gave me a 2-disc WIB prototype. That was maybe '07. Hadn't imagined things had changed since then, but....
Thanks for this KILLER comp, one more vol to go! Excited for it and will be sad when the run is over.
Ah thanks!
The Karen Black song is from the Canadian movie The Pyx from 1973.
You can watch the scene here:

She also played a singer in Altman's Nashville and there are country songs from her on the soundtrack. The most obscure entry to her musical oeuvre must be on the Scientology Music Album which I didn't hear but if anyone has a copy - brainwash me.
This compilation series shall never end. Oh well, thanks anyway.
@rosel zech- thanks for more schoolin' on kb...i'm clearly out of my depth on this particular topic. and thanks too for the link. will embed the Pyx clip into this post. paz....
This is Nate, I took from two sources to get the closest I could to a complete Pyx soundtrack, opting for the better quality vhs. Karen Black sang three songs on the soundtrack which the great Bob Johnson produced. Someday We'll have to upload the other two, they're just as awesome. Glad everyone is enjoying this!
Hey Nate, you did so good with this series. Appreciate the artwork as well. I am surprised producers didn't work more with Karen. At least she has quite the resume as an actress. Would love to hear more from her but you gave us plenty material to digest anyway. Kudos to the voodoo.
