Like manna from the earthly dew, early Khan Ly & Trịnh Công Sơn rips have since materialized for us all after having posted those haunting video clips a week or so back. The first came from anonymous source in that post's comments. Much appreciated! True to form, the mighty Owl has likewise handed down this superior 320 rip of a 1974 Vietnamese double LP from these two luminous collaborators. Its a true beauty... Sublime. Eternal thanks to owlqaeda for all the generosity.

Can't wait to hear this one, thanks!
Many, many thanks & hugs to both of you! One of our artistically-inclined friends should start a dynamic duo type comic featuring y'all...
this is a wicked blog! i've added Ghost Capital to the Randall Funk blogroll (randallfunk.blogspot.com) - it would be great if you wouldn't mind reciprocating. Thanks!
Thank you so much for your work!
Thanks so much for sharing this. I did my uni in Vietnam and hearing this again brought back some special memories. KL+TCS are easily the most formidable combo in the history of Vietnamese music and very much a voice of conscience during that diabolical war. KL left VN around the time of the fall of Saigon, TCS stayed, spent time in a re-education camp and, in his own words, "did not produce anything of beauty" during the most repressive period of post-war communist rule. Both continued recording after going their separate ways, but never came close to reaching the musical heights captured in the 'Son Ca' series. If anyone is interested, there are 6 other albums in this series, each of them a real masterpiece.
@Reggie - Interested....
@reggie: thx fer sharing yer reflections. would certainly love to hear the other slabs in this series

And thanks, thanks, thanks for reupping all these files (I grabbed a couple others which worked fine - I especially love Paul Ngozi & Miki Jaga) - this stuff is amazing!
